Core Privacy Principle: Your Files Never Leave Your Device
Nord Converter V1 is designed from the ground up as a 100% local, client-side application. When you select or drag and drop files into Nord Converter, the files are decoded, converted, and re-encoded purely inside your browser memory using WebAssembly, Canvas, and Web Audio APIs.
- We never upload or stream your files to any external server or cloud storage.
- We never store, log, or inspect the contents or text inside your documents, images, or audio tracks.
- All in-memory buffers and object URLs are immediately revoked and garbage-collected when you clear jobs or close the browser tab.
1. Information We Collect
Because conversion is performed locally, we do not require account creation, email addresses, or payment information for V1. We may collect anonymous aggregate telemetry (such as page views, tool types selected, and error codes) strictly to diagnose browser compatibility bugs. We never attach file contents or personal identifiers to error telemetry.
2. Advertising & Cookies
Nord Converter is funded by non-intrusive advertisements. Third-party advertising partners may use standard web cookies to deliver relevant advertisements in accordance with their privacy policies. You may disable cookies in your browser settings or opt out of personalized advertising at any time.
3. Browser Memory & Device Safety
When performing large batch conversions, processing takes place on your device CPU and RAM. Nord Converter includes an Adaptive Queue system to safeguard your device against memory exhaustion.
